Founded in 1993, CAETE Engenharia Ltda (formerly PCE Ltda) is an engineering consulting company based in Porto Alegre, Brazil. CAETE is located in a privileged region of the city, in a calm and charming neighborhood, near to the Guaiba River known for its breathtaking sunsets.
CAETE has been working on engineering projects and failure, analysis supported by numerical modeling. We have a technical staff of specialized engineers experienced in using numerical simulation packages like COMSOL™, Ansys CFX™, OpenFOAM and LIGGGHTS.
Our company has developed expertise in field of aluminum smelting. We work with pot thermal balance, lining design, MHD and stability analysis, as well as anode furnace thermal and combustion simulation. The aluminium smelting industry involves equipment and processes that are particularly complex with many physics principles involved and interconnected. We have been supplying engineering services including cathode autopsies, in-situ measurements, numerical modeling and construction drawings (both 3D and 2D in SolidWorks) for aluminium smelters.
