The quality of the anode used in the aluminum industry depends heavily on the baking process. In general, it is desirable to achieve a more uniform temperature inside the anode during the heating process, combined with lower soaking time and energy consumption.
Coupled fluid flow and transient heat transfer analyses, including fuel combustion are conducted to study anode baking furnaces.
A user-friendly software for predicting the anode baking process was developed by CAETE. The software is a valuable tool for optimizing the anode baking process.
